Templars and a new (or old?) Priory of Sion

TemplarsNow™ normally does not venture in the realm of pseudo-history. But recently, during one of our regular scans of the internet on Knights Templar related news, we hit a well groomed page on the "Templar Knights". Now that is our piece of cake, so we clicked on.

This page shows standard and generally acknowledged information on the Order's origin and demise. However, it is one of very many pages of an extensive and copyrighted website calling itself "the official website of the Priory of Sion - Ordre de la Rose-Croix Véritas O.D.L.R.C.V.", of Italian pedigree. An order that rings some bells.
Another page of the website suggests that this apparently international organisation has 9 National Chapters, 6 Commanderies, 9 Chapters and 15 members of a so called "Cercle Sigebert IV".

According to the pseudohistorical Dossiers Secrets d'Henri Lobineau and related documents, Sigebert IV was the son of the Merovingian king Dagobert II who, on the assassination of his father, was rescued by his sister and smuggled to the domain of his mother the (otherwise unknown) Visigoth princess, Giselle de Razès in Rennes-le-Château. He is said to have adopted or inherited his uncle's titles, duke of Razès and count of Rhedae as well as the surname, or nickname, of “Plant-Ard” (subsequently Plantard) under which name, and under the titles acquired from his uncle, he is said to have perpetuated his lineage.

This Priory boasts an extensive organisation, including for instance a Grand Master, officers, a Statute, an Organisational Chart and a Journal, rituals and regalia, as well as a charity programme and a Journal. The Grand Master (who also is the Grand Secretary) seems to be the only person who appears with name and photo on the website. He is described as
"Born in Treviso in 1977, Marco Rigamonti is a writer, essayist, researcher and scholar of esoterism and tradition of chivalry, who became Grand Master of the Priory of Sion for legitimate transmission after creating a ritual, philosophical and initiatory system from the ancient rituals and knowledge that are heritage of the Priory of Sion and today officially represents the institution worldwide."
The Priory states that
"it is an initiatory Order of chivalry, founded on July 15 1099 in Jerusalem, by Godfrey of Bouillon, at the Abbey "Our Lady of Mount Sion" as "Order of our Lady of Mount Sion." The Order, after being registered for the first time in history, in 1956, and then being dissolved in 1993, was newly registered in 2015, perpetuating the legitimate Pierre Plantard de Saint-Clair's lineage, through the Gino Sandri's initiatory transmission."
This whole package of informations seems to bring us in the realm of what is generally seen as pseudo-history. This is probably foreseen by the Priory as it states
"Essentially, the Priory of Sion is a coherent initiatory system, composed of interdependent symbols and allegories, which does not need to be “real”, to be true."
TemplarsNow™ is interested to hear of serious activities of this Priory and sound contacts with the scientific community. This new/old Priory of Sion: real or a hoax, devised by a creative essayist?
